THE NEW "HONOR SYSTEM" VIRUS:

This virus works on the honor system.

Please forward this message to everyone you know, then delete all the
files on your hard disk.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Here's another version:

The completely undetectable hardware-destroying virus concealed in this message relies on the honor system to spread. Please smash your hard disk, CD-ROM, and monitor with an axe, then forward a copy of this message to everyone you know

Please ignore any messages regarding this "hoax" and do not pass on any messages regarding it. Passing on messages about this hoax serves only to further propagate it.
